Maiden Castle Sunrise, Dorset

January 2014 - A cold wet and very windy morning on top of Maiden Castle looked like it was going to be a 'wish I'd stayed in my warm bed' sort of day. I was struggling to keep my tripod on the ground as the gusts swirled around on top, and passing rain showers kept me and my gear nice and wet. Then the rain stopped briefly and the sun managed to break through the cloud cover like a burning fireball, before disappearing into the storm clouds again. Time to go home for breakfast and a nice warm cup of tea :)
